Kathleen philips is vp r&d at imec and general manager of the imec site in eindhoven, holst centre, the netherlands.

Before joining imec, she was a senior research scientist at philips research for over 12 years.

I feel it’s classic, distinguished and complete. It may be due to the surge in popularity of “k” names in the past few decades. For a boy, though, it’s tricky. Does anyone know of anything.

[name_f]kathleen [/name_f] seems more like an out of favour irish classic than simply dated. Kathleen joined imec in 2007 and has held positions as principal scientist, as program manager for ulp wireless and as director iot. Katarina or katalina would be gorgeous! I really like the nickname [name_f]kitty[/name_f], but i don’t particularly want to use [name_f]katharine[/name_f], [name_f]katherine[/name_f], [name_f]catherine[/name_f], or even [name_f]kaitlyn[/name_f] or [name_f]caitlyn[/name_f].

I also don’t want to use [name_f]kitty[/name_f] as the actual name. She seems much more southern to me, probably because of [name_f]cathleen [/name_f] whatshername in. Katinka love it kirrily is a quirky favourite of mine, but i’m not sure it fits the cultural crossover you’re going for. Not sure if it’s weird to spell it catherine instead of katherine if using the nickname kit.

My husband prefers [name]katherine[/name] because of the history of russian royalty bearing the name.

I also adore katya or katinka as a nickname for katarina. I do love double barrel names! [name_f]cathleen [/name_f] feels smoother and fresher, as others have said. It has a homey, cosy feel to it, like hearth fires and an evening walk over fields.
